    Hsinchu, Taiwan, December 16, 2020 -

Browan is honored to have the opportunity to work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) on supporting their new feature--- AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN®, a fully managed feature of AWS IoT Core that enables enterprises to connect wireless devices to use low-power wide area network (LoRaWAN®) technology.

AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN® offers:

    • Multi-tenant, managed service offering a secure and scalable service
    • Compatible with LoRaWAN®
    • Compliance with HIPAA, and GDPR.
    • Launch with an ecosystem in place: Provide qualified devices and gateways via partners to solve onboarding, provisioning, and OTA challenges.

Browan has two devices qualified to support AWS IoT Core: Micro Outdoor Gateway and MiniHub Pro. Both gateways integrate LoRa Basics Station, enabling them to connect to AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN®.  The gateways are also qualified for AWS IoT Core, including to support AWS IoT Device Management Over-the-Air (OTA) capability. The MiniHub Pro also uses the market-leading FreeRTOS microcontroller operating system from AWS. Both gateways are included as part of the AWS IoT Starter Kits recently launched by Semtech and TensorIoT, which are qualified in the AWS Partner Device Catalog.

"Browan, through their use of AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN® qualified gateways, is enabling us to deliver reliable solutions to our customers at a rapid pace," said Ravi Raghunathan CEO of TensorIoT.  "With the help of the Browan sensors and their gateways, TensorIoT was able to quickly build solutions that leverage AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN® and other AWS services to deliver an asset tracking and smart building solution to the market at an accelerated rate".

“We’re delighted to be working with AWS to support AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN® and even more pleased to be able to be part of the AWS Partner Network and provide compatible gateways for customers. Our collaboration with AWS allows us to provide customers with an end-to-end solution to simply connect their gateways and devices, and fulfill their IoT business needs anywhere in the world without the worry and hassle,” said Henry Huang, CEO of Browan.

"LoRaWAN® has so much untapped potential for solving real-world challenges enabled by IoT technologies," said Michael MacKenzie, General Manager of AWS IoT Connectivity and Control, Amazon Web Services, Inc. "I'm delighted to be working with Browan to bring the Micro Outdoor Gateway and MiniHub Pro, which uses FreeRTOS to AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN®."
